Delete Memory Dump File to Speed Up Your Computer !
The memory dump file (memory.dmp) is a backup of your system memory that is automatically created if your computer crashed. It can be a really huge file ( over 1 Gigabyte ) because it contains the entire contents of your system memory dumped into one file, just in case there is something important that could have been lost when your system crashed. As long as you have successfully started up again after the crash, it is okay to delete it in order to free up the disk space.
I had a slow performance of my computer recently after frequent black out in my area, and found out that this .dmp file was created in c:/windows. I’ve just deleted it, and restarted my computer. It works !
